O que é um município?
Como falamos acima, o município é um território que pode se autoadministrar, sob a égide do Estado.
O poder Executivo municipal é representado pelo prefeito, pelo vice-prefeito e pelos secretários municipais. Eles são responsáveis por cuidar dos seus cidadãos, em relação à saúde, educação, urbanização, transporte, coleta seletiva de lixo e reciclagem, segurança pública e mais.
O Legislativo fica a cargo dos vereadores, também eleitos pelo povo.
Outros órgãos municipais, como o Conselho Tutelar, responsável por assegurar o cumprimento do Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (ECA).
Qual a diferença entre município e cidade?
O município pode ter várias cidades ou distritos. Ele corresponde ao território e nele estão a cidade principal, que é a sede do município, e os outros distritos e a área rural, que não têm autonomia.
Se o município satélite apresenta um problema urbano, é responsabilidade da sede resolver.
O que é município de lotação?
Esse é um termo muito utilizado em concursos públicos. O município em que o candidato está lotado é onde ele trabalhará, caso seja aprovado.
