O que é um perímetro?

O que é área e perímetro?
O perímetro equivale à soma das medidas de todos os lados de uma figura, independentemente do modo como eles são calculados ou obtidos.
Por sua vez, a área de uma figura geométrica corresponde à medida de sua superfície. O cálculo da área de polígonos é feito por meio de expressões específicas, variando de polígono para polígono.
Exemplos de perímetro
Os perímetros de figuras e polígonos variam de acordo com a sua forma. De modo geral, podemos definir o cálculo de um perímetro pela soma das medidas dos lados.
O cálculo do perímetro de um polígono regular, que apresenta todos os ângulos internos com a mesma medida, é dado pela multiplicação do comprimento de um lado pela quantidade de lados.
O perímetro de um círculo, por sua vez, corresponde ao comprimento da circunferência de mesmo raio. A fórmula do perímetro é:
C = 2π.r
Já os outros polígonos podem ter seus perímetros expressos pela soma dos lados, independentemente de sua forma.
