Características do polvo

Uma das principais características do polvo é a quantidade de braços, apresentando oito no total. Entre eles, um tentáculo é utilizado para reprodução, enquanto os outros são para locomoção e alimentação.

Defesa

Além de serem excelentes predadores, os polvos precisam se defender de outros animais, como moreias, raias e tubarões. Reprodução

Durante a reprodução dos polvos, os machos utilizam seu braço reprodutor para liberar espermatozoides na fêmea que, então, coloca os ovos em locais abrigados, evitando a alimentação no período de incubação e, então, falecendo logo após o nascimento dos filhotes.

Alimentação

Para garantir força no dia a dia, os polvos alimentam-se de crustáceos, principalmente caranguejos, lagostas e camarões, assim como outros moluscos. Ainda, eles optam pela caça, para facilitar a conquista das presas.

Inteligência

Uma característica muito marcante desse animal é a inteligência, tendo cerca de 500 milhões de neurônios, sendo que os humanos têm, em média, 86 bilhões. É por isso que eles desenvolveram técnicas avançadas de camuflagem e inteligência muscular, permitindo uma boa vida no oceano.

Diferença entre lula e polvo

Por fim, uma das dúvidas mais comuns de quem está estudando sobre o reino animal é a diferença entre lula e polvo. Inicialmente, as características físicas podem ser semelhantes, no entanto, seus comportamentos são diferentes.

Enquanto os polvos vivem no fundo do mar, optando por esconderijos e locais afastados, as lulas preferem a superfície, para alimentar-se de pequenos animais e vegetais.
